my dorm team and I were planning to have weekend activity baking on Saturday morning, and last night we tried out the recipe and baked some cookies as test batch.

we baked snickerdoodles! A snickerdoodle is a kind of sugar cookies, which the special thing about this cookie is that we put some cinnamon to the sugar as we rolled the dough into.

here is the recipe for Snickerdoodles!

Snickerdoodles

1 1/2 cup sugar

1/2 cup margarine or butter softened (2 sticks)

1 teaspoon vanilla

2 eggs

2 3/4 cups all purpose flour

1 tsp cream of tartar (found in spices section of grocery store)

1/2 teaspoon baking soda

1/4 teaspoon salt

2 tablespoons sugar

2 teaspoons cinnamon

Heat oven to 400 degrees F. In large bowl, combine first 4 ingredients; blend well. Stir in flour, cream of tartar, soda and salt; blend well. Shape dough into 1 inch balls. Combine 2 tablespoons sugar and cinnamon; roll balls in sugar mixture. Place 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 400 degrees F for 8 to 10 minutes or until set. Immediately remove from cookie sheet.

we didn’t use mixer for mixing, we used our hands power instead.. haha. *workout workout! :p*
